Giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do at Getting Clean, it’s a pathway to rediscovering a feeling of self-worth, which is all too often lost in the fight against addiction.
Showing how the therapeutic value of ‘getting clean’ relates not only to our bodies and minds but also to our streets and local communities.
This month we’ve had the privilege of transforming overgrown and unsafe areas for vulnerable residents. As well as conducting repairs we’re making spaces enjoyable and safe again for the whole community to enjoy.

Image descriptions:
Cover Image - Richard is a tall white male, he is standing with two other Getting Clean members. They are all wearing protective gear, including high vis jackets. There are power tools and other gardening equipment at their feet. Richard has his arms around the other two members shoulders. It is a sunny day, and they are smiling at the camera.
Other photos - The team use hedge trimmers and strimmers to cut away overgrown vegetation. There are before and after photos. The ‘after’ photos show a big difference, with grass viable again, and hedges trimmed into a neat rectangle.
